Target has already sold his house and £45 million move will be a done deal this week: Reports


Raheem Sterling, a forward for Manchester City, has sold his northern home amid rumors that he may make a long-term transfer to Chelsea this summer. Sterling has one year left on his current contract and is eager to leave the Etihad Stadium after seven years. According to Sky Sports, Manchester City is willing to let the 27-year-old go, even to a rival team.

During the 2021-22 season, Sterling registered 17 goals and nine assists in 47 matches across all competitions. His knack for netting goals on a consistent basis has placed him at the top of Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel's transfer wishlist.
Chelsea is expected to finalize a £45 million deal for Sterling later this week, according to CBS Sports' Ben Jacobs. Personal details have yet to be decided. In order to relocate back to London, the former Liverpool forward also sold his home in Manchester. Sterling has won four Premier League championships, one FA Cup trophy, and four League Cup crowns since joining Manchester City in 2015. His 337 total appearances for his current club have resulted in 131 goals and 94 assists in all competitions. The journalist alleged that the Blues are also negotiating a different agreement to make it easier to get back defender Nathan Ake. According to The Evening Standard, Manchester City is eager to sell the left-footed center-back for £41 million.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are also in the pursuit of Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard (via Daily Express), Atletico Madrid centre-back Jose Maria Gimenez (via Tenfield) and Torino defender Gleison Bremer (via 90min).Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt, Napoli veteran Kalidou Koulibaly and Sevilla centre-back Kounde are also on the radar of the club, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Barcelona have submitted a ‘final offer’ for Leeds United winger Raphinha according to reports in Spain, with one of the summer’s most protracted sags set to be coming to an end.
