Done Deal: Barcelona agreed terms to sign Chelsea 26-year-old defender

La Liga giants, Barcelona have announced the signings of Andreas Christensen on a free transfers.

The 26-year-old Danish defender comes in from Chelsea, after his deal expired at Stamford Bridge Christensen refused to sign a new contract with the Blues.

Barcelona have also secure the services of AC Milan midfielder Frank Kessie.

Both players signed four-year contracts with Nou Camp, with 500 million Euro (£430 million) release clauses.


The Ivorian midfielder has played 224 times for the Rossoneri, scoring 39 goals, and last season he assisted the squad in winning its first Serie A trophy in 11 years.


Christensen played 161 times for the West London giants after graduating from their junior academy. He also spent two seasons on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach of Germany.

Barcelona have submitted a ‘final offer’ for Leeds United winger Raphinha according to reports in Spain, with one of the summer’s most protracted sags set to be coming to an end. Twitter has been used by Chelsea supporters to announce their second summer acquisition, defender Kalidou Koulibaly. His four-year transfer from Serie A team Napoli has been revealed by the Blues. After Raheem Sterling from Manchester City joined the Blues, the Senegalese international also joined the team. As per The Daily Mail, the 31-year-old has cost the West London club between £32 million (€38 million) and £33.7 million (€40 million).
