Tuchel announces brand new Chelsea signing ‘is the perfect addition’

Thomas Tuchel believes new signing Kalidou Koulibaly will bring “personality” to the Chelsea dressing room.

The Senegalese central defender has joined from Napoli on a four-year deal worth around £35m to bolster the Blues’ defensive options.

The departures of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger to Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively meant that Chelsea were desperate to add to that back-line and sign players that would make a difference

There was a feeling that the club would not be able to complete a deal for Koulibaly as Napoli had no desire to let him leave the club and were prepared to offer him a big new contract

However – we managed to convince Napoli into letting the powerhouse leave the club and Koulibaly was given the type of contract that makes him one of the very highest paid in the Premier League

And after seeing the powerhouse make the move to the club – Tuchel has opened up and revealed that Koulibaly will bring personality to the club – he said: “I am very happy about his signing and joining our team.

“It is now the second signing of the summer and again we have a strong player with a strong personality, big experience and in our point of view a perfect addition to our team.”

Barcelona have submitted a ‘final offer’ for Leeds United winger Raphinha according to reports in Spain, with one of the summer’s most protracted sags set to be coming to an end. Twitter has been used by Chelsea supporters to announce their second summer acquisition, defender Kalidou Koulibaly. His four-year transfer from Serie A team Napoli has been revealed by the Blues. After Raheem Sterling from Manchester City joined the Blues, the Senegalese international also joined the team. As per The Daily Mail, the 31-year-old has cost the West London club between £32 million (€38 million) and £33.7 million (€40 million).
